Odessa A’zion reveals ambition to start jewellery brand

Odessa A’zion wants to start her own jewellery line.

Odessa A’zion has big ambitions

The 25-year-old actress has enjoyed a meteoric rise in recent years, including her starring role in Marty Supreme – but Odessa admits that her ambitions extend well beyond the movie business.

Odessa told The Hollywood Reporter: “Honestly, I don’t know much about jewellery. But I would like to have my own jewellery line one day. That’s all I know.

“Other than that, I have learned how involved [the Swiss watch brand] Chopard is with Cannes, and that’s really amazing. I love how much they support film, art, artists and creatives. They created this award to encourage young actors to keep going and that is such a beautiful thing. They’re not just jewellery; they are a company that supports the arts and artists.”

Asked about her ambition of creating a jewellery brand, Odessa replied: “I want to do everything.

“I love jewellery. I usually always wear my own jewellery. I love vintage jewellery. I collect a ring on every project as my personal little anecdote or memento. I’ve lost a lot of them. But I love jewellery, all sorts of chunky, vintage jewellery.

“My idea for my own line has always been to create jewellery using recycled plastic from the ocean. But I haven’t figured out how to make something beautiful and chic and not like skeevy. But I’ll figure it out one day.”

Meanwhile, Odessa recently claimed that she hopes to “keep playing insane women”.

The actress played Timothee Chalamet’s on-screen love interest in the critically acclaimed sports drama movie Marty Supreme, and Odessa has revealed that she wants to continue to play “juicy, f*****-up roles”.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Odessa explained: “It’s really hard after doing Marty Supreme to think about what I would do next because that was my ultimate goal.

“I guess I just hope to keep playing insane women. I hope I’m never the straight man. I just want the juicy, f*****-up roles. I will play whatever insane character somebody wants me to play.”

Odessa relished the opportunity to play such an erratic character in Marty Supreme.

She said: “It was so juicy and meaty, and I got to do everything: I was kidnapped, I was shot, I was a beggar, I was a really strong, independent woman going through an emotional roller coaster.”
