Peacock has announced fall premiere dates for Season 2 of The Office follow-up mockumentary The Paper, Friday the 13th prequel series Crystal Lake and crime drama series The Good Daughter.
The Paper Season 2 will launch in September. From Greg Daniels and Michael Koman, The Paper is set in the same universe as NBC’s Emmy-winning series The Office, and features the documentary crew that immortalized Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton branch. The crew is searching for a new subject when they stumble upon a historic Toledo newspaper, The Truth Teller, and the publisher’s efforts to revive it.
The series stars Domhnall Gleeson, Sabrina Impacciatore, Chelsea Frei, Melvin Gregg, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Alex Edelman, Ramona Young, and Tim Key.
Daniels and Koman serve as creators and executive producers. Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant, Howard Klein, Ben Silverman, and Banijay Americas (formerly Reveille) also executive produce. Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, is the studio.
Crystal Lake will premiere on October 15. Linda Cardellini stars as the iconic Pamela Voorhees from the Friday the 13th franchise, along with William Catlett, Devin Kessler, Cameron Scoggins and Gwendolyn Sundstrom.
The plot is expected to follow Cardellini’s Voorhees as a mother who gave up a singing career to raise a special needs child and takes a dark turn when she loses her son.
Brad Caleb Kane serves as writer, showrunner, and executive producer. Series is executive produced by A24, Kane, Marc Toberoff, Victor Miller, Robert M. Barsamian, Robert P. Barsamian, and Stuart Manashil.
Limited series The Good Daughter, starring Rose Byrne, Meghann Fahy, Brendan Gleeson and Harper Steele, will premiere November 12.
The Good Daughter is a suspenseful crime drama where sisters Charlotte (Fahy) and Samantha (Byrne) Quinn have spent the last twenty-eight years trying to piece together the lives that were fractured by a single night of violence. When another attack splinters the small town of Pikeville, Charlotte is the first witness on the scene.
Karin Slaughter serves as writer and executive producer. Bruna Papandrea, Steve Hutensky and Casey Haver executive produce for Made Up Stories, along with Rose Byrne. Steph Green directs and executive produces all episodes. The Good Daughter is produced by Made Up Stories in partnership with Fifth Season, which is also distributing internationally.
