Phaedra Parks and Apollo Nida came together to celebrate a big win for their son, Ayden Nida.
The teenager recently wrapped up his first track season with a state championship title, and both parents showed up proudly at the meet to cheer him on from the stands.
Phaedra shared photos from the event on Instagram, including one picture of Ayden posing with his trophy while standing between both of his parents following the victory. The family struck playful poses together as they celebrated Ayden’s championship win at the track
According to Phaedra, Ayden first decided he wanted to join track earlier this year.
“In January, @ayden.nida decided he wanted to run track,” she wrote. “Honestly, I wasn’t sure how it would end because he moves slow every time I ask him to go run and get me something.”
Even with her initial doubts, the Real Housewives of Atlanta alum said she fully supported her son’s decision from the start. Phaedra explained that she made sure Ayden had everything he needed throughout the season, including quality gear and encouragement at nearly every competition.
“I made sure he had the tools to succeed, I bought the best track shoes, and showed up to almost every track meet,” she shared.
She also joked about cheering loudly from the stands while recording what she described as “bad videos” during the meets.”
Between Phaedra and Apollo loudly cheering during competitions, she said Ayden eventually “started running like somebody was chasing him.”
Over the course of the season, Ayden and his teammates grew close and focused on one major goal: winning the state championship.
“He and his teammates became family; they decided they were going to win the state championship, and they DID!” Phaedra wrote. “We are so proud of our Prince Ayden.”
She also thanked family members and loved ones who traveled long distances to support Ayden throughout the season.
She closed the post by writing, “@ayden.nida is a #trackstar #proudmom #boymom.”
Phaedra and Apollo share two sons together, Ayden and Dylan.
