Prime Video is not stopping with its YA book adaptation momentum.
The streamer has several projects in the works and rolling out this summer, and Boys of Tommen is its latest big project boosted by Booktok.

The series has yet to set a release date, but with production slated to begin this year, it could be on screens in 2027.
What will The Boys of Tommen be about?
The show will follow the forbidden love story of star rugby player Johnny Kavanagh, who could go pro in the sport, and talented but painfully shy Shannon Lynch, the new girl at the prestigious Tommen College in Ballylaggin, Ireland. Both teens have secrets — Johnny nurses a potentially career-ending injury, and Shannon lives a troubled and violent homelife.

The series will pull from first two books in Walsh’s series — Binding 13 and Keeping 13.

Who is in the cast of The Boys of Tommen at Prime Video?
Newcomer Nancy Surridge will portray Shannon Lynch. Conor Sánchez (Mix Tape) will portray Tommen’s golden boy Johnny Kavanagh. James O’Donoghue (Sanctuary: A Witch’s Tale) will portray the troubled but loyal Joey Lynch, and Sophie McGibbon (Sense & Sensibility) is the fiercely confident Aoife Molloy.

Who else is behind The Boys of Tommen?
Drama Republic (One Day), Temple Hill (Twilight), and wiip (The Summer I Turned Pretty) are sharing production duties on the eight episode series alongside Amazon MGM Studios. Poppy Cogan (A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder) is penning the scripts. The series comes from director Brendan Canty. Ingrid Goodwin is series producer.
