Zara Larsson has opened up about the kiss
The 28-year-old pop star has revealed that she kissed her friend’s boyfriend at a New Year’s Eve party, after he’d spent all night flirting with her.
She told the Call Her Daddy podcast: “I just kissed him back because I was messy like that. And I was 16 and really drunk.”
Zara said the situation was made worse when another girl at the party filmed the kiss and sent the video to her friend before she had the chance to come clean.
She said: “The f***** up thing about this, though, was that the girl whose [house] we had had the party at, she filmed this, and I didn’t know. So before I got the chance to tell my friend what happened the next day, she had already got the video sent to her.”
Zara said she wasn’t attracted to the guy and described the incident as a “weird, unforgivable mistake that happened”. The fallout, however, was severe.
She said: “Obviously seeing [the video], she just cut me off, and all my friends just cut me off, and I was just like a floating piece of trash in the universe.”
Meanwhile, Zara is preparing to open for Tate McRae on her Miss Possessive Tour, and she previously admitted to being a huge fan of the Greedy hitmaker.
Zara told People: “She’s so sweet. Beautiful.
“I just can’t believe she’s 21 because she seems so mature, like she’s been doing this for a really long time, kind of like I have. Maybe that’s what people thought about me when I was 21. Now, I’m old.
“I’m so in awe of her work ethic and how hard she goes at it. She has not stopped for years. But I think she loves what she’s doing, and she’s so passionate.”
Zara also admitted to feeling “inspired” by Tate’s dance skills.
The pop star said: “I feel really inspired by the way she really has embraced her dancing side. I would love to dance more.”
