WAKA FLOCKA WELCOMES BABY BOY: “PURPOSE SO CLEAR”

Waka Flocka has welcomed a baby boy!

The rapper took to Instagram on Sunday to share an emotional message following the arrival of his son.

Alongside a photo of himself in hospital scrubs, Waka opened up about the responsibility he instantly felt as a father.

“Looking into my newborn’s eyes, I can’t believe the insight, the intuition, the responsibility that hits you all at once,” he wrote. “It’s my job to help shape a beautiful human… loving, caring, thoughtful, and kind.”

He went on to share how the moment has given him a renewed sense of purpose.

“My God… there’s so much running through my head right now… Purpose so clear,” he added.

The post quickly drew thousands of reactions from fans and friends, who flooded the comments section with congratulatory messages. Among those celebrating were Zonnique Pullins, who commented, “congratulations,” and fellow rapper Lil Scrappy, who wrote, “Congrats brudda God blessed you with a blessing.”

Just a month ago, Waka announced he was expecting a baby boy. The rapper, whose real name is Juaquin James Malphurs, shared the news on his 40th birthday alongside a photo of a large wooden letter “J” engraved with the name “Juaquin Jr.”

“Just waiting for you to come home Jr. Best gift a man could ever ask for. I walked 40yrs on earth!!” he wrote at the time.

Although this is Waka’s first biological child, he has long considered himself a father to Charlie, the daughter of his ex-wife, Tammy Rivera.

The couple began dating in 2011, when Charlie was just 4 years old, and viewers watched their father-daughter bond grow on Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta and later Waka & Tammy: What The Flocka. In 2021, Charlie even asked Waka if he would adopt her during an episode of the family’s reality series.

More recently, Waka pushed back against blogs referring to him as a first-time father, stressing that Charlie is his daughter and his newborn is his first son.

“This the last time a blog will play with my kids like this. This my second child, you dumb motherf**kers, and this my first son. Stop playing with my daughter, bro,” he said in an Instagram video.
