Vanessa Bryant has hit back at cruel online rumours six years after the death of her NBA star husband, Kobe Bryant.
The Los Angeles Lakers icon died at the age of 41, alongside their daughter Gianna, 13, in a horrific helicopter crash in Calabasas, California in January 2020. A total of nine people died in the crash.
After sharing Instagram posts marking her marriage anniversary and what would have been her late daughter’s birthday, Vanessa, 43, responded to speculation she’s getting remarried and is pregnant.
She shared a post floating around on social media that reads: “Vanessa Bryant is set to remarry after inheriting a 50 per cent share of Kobe Bryant’s wealth, with the remaining 50 per cent being shared among their three daughters.”
“It’s been six years, if she wants to remarry then so what. Is she supposed to stay alone the rest of her life?” a comment on the original post reads.
Sharing the post on her Instagram Story, Vanessa fired back.
“Can you guys decide already… am I pregnant for the 100th time or am I getting remarried???” she wrote.

Earlier this week, on May 1, Vanessa shared a birthday tribute post to Gianna, one of four daughters she shared with the basketball icon.
Gianna would have turned 20 years old this month.
“Happy birthday to my sweet baby angel, Gianna. Words can’t express how much I love and miss you mamacita. Mommy loves you so much! #HappyBirthday #20 💕💕,” she captioned her post, with the likes of Jennifer Lopez and Gigi Hadid sharing their support for her and Hadid sharing birthday wishes underneath.
Last month, Vanessa shared a video montage of her and her late husband and captioned it: “Happy anniversary, baby @kobebryant!!!! I love you! #25 ❤️”

Vanessa and Kobe married in 2001 in California.
“There aren’t enough words to describe our pain right now,” she said shortly after the helicopter accident in a social media post.
“I take comfort in knowing that Kobe and Gigi both knew that they were so deeply loved.
“We were so incredibly blessed to have them in our lives. I wish they were here with us forever. They were our beautiful blessings taken from us too soon.”
