SERAYAH REFLECTS ON MOTHERHOOD IN SWEET FIRST MOTHER’S DAY POST

Serayah Ranee McNeill is loving life as a new mom.

The actress celebrated her first Mother’s Day on Sunday by sharing a set of sweet Instagram photos with her baby boy, though she did not fully show his face in the pictures. In the caption, Serayah opened up about how much motherhood has changed her.

“My little light. I had no idea your love would be this transformative, I am forever changed & you helped me grow through so many of my uncertainties,” she wrote. “From the gentle kicks in my tummy to your first latch, and now your first steps I am completely enamored with your beautiful spirit.”

She added, “I promise to always protect your heart, guide you through the rough patches and help you stand when you fall. I love being your mommy.”

Serayah also admitted she was nervous before becoming a mom and wasn’t sure what to expect at first.

“You never know what ride you’re up for taking on the responsibility of becoming a mom,” she shared. “As scary and unimaginable it may seem beforehand, your womanly instincts step in immediately! Omgeee I was so nervous about doing everything right and I quickly learned, my body knows EXACTLY what to do. YOU GOT THIS MOMMA! Happy Mother’s Day!”

Serayah and fiancé Joey Bada$$ welcomed their first child together, a son, in June 2025.

Not long after giving birth, the former Empire actress also revealed that the couple had gotten engaged.

“2 months postpartum… Wowww where do I begin?” she wrote in an earlier Instagram post. “First, I want to thank everyone who’s reached out to me, congratulated me and sent me love and support during this new chapter.”

She continued, “I’m still shook, in total disbelief that I’m a mommy now. This is the greatest accomplishment of my life thus far.”

Serayah also gave her fiancé a special shoutout for supporting her throughout the transition into motherhood.

“My fiancé has held it DOWN you hear me! Through and through that’s a good man Savannah. Nah but frfr im so grateful.”
