Two weeks before “Off Campus” premieres on Prime Video, the college romance series has announced two new cast additions for Season 2.
India Fowler (“Fear Street: Prom Queen”) will appear in the series regular role of Grace Ivers, the love interest of John Logan, played by Antonio Cipriano. The show’s official Instagram posted a snippet of Cipriano breaking the news to Fowler, inviting her to join the “Off Campus” cast and crew in Vancouver.
“Hamilton” star Phillipa Soo will also join the cast as Scarlett, a theatre artist who is guest-directing an original play in the college’s drama department.
The show’s official description states that it “follows an elite ice hockey team, and the women in their lives, as they grapple with love, heartbreak, and self-discovery—forging deep friendships and enduring bonds while navigating the complexities that come with transitioning into adulthood.”
Based on the bestselling books by Elle Kennedy, Season 1 follows the romance between quiet songwriter, Hannah (Ella Bright), and Briar University’s all-star hockey athlete, Garrett (Belmont Cameli). The show’s first season also introduces the rest of Garrett and Logan’s hockey quartet, John Tucker (Jalen Thomas Brooks) and Dean DiLaurentis (Stephen Kalyn), along with Hannah’s best friend and Dean’s love interest, Allie (Mika Abdalla).
Although “Off Campus” has not confirmed that Logan and Grace will be the focus of Season 2, the couple’s novel is the second in the book series, followed by John Tucker and Dean.
Creator Louisa Levy co-showruns and executive produces “Off Campus” with Gina Fattore. Wyck Godfrey, Marty Bowen, and James Seidman executive-produce for Temple Hill. Leanna Billings of Billings Productions and Neal Flaherty also serve as executive producers.
Season 1 of “Off Campus” premieres on Prime Video on May 13.
