It’s time to pour the midnight margaritas! Practical Magic, the 1998 film starring Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock, is getting a sequel – Practical Magic 2 – and yes, we have all the cast details!
Warner Bros. confirmed earlier this year that the film would be coming in 2026, sharing a brief clip on their social media page with Nic and Sandra narrating:
“Tooth of wolf, and morning dew, something old and something new. Let the spell begin to mix, September 18th, 2026.”
Who is cast in ‘Practical Magic 2’?
Nicole and Sandra will be reprising their roles as the Owens sisters. Oscar winner Dianne Wiest and Oscar nominee Stockard Channing will return as Aunt Jet and Aunt Franny.
And as exclusively confirmed by Deadline, there are a bunch of newcomers too – Joey King will play Sally Owens’ daughter, plus Maisie Williams, Lee Pace, Xolo Maridueña and Solly McLeod have all been cast although no details about their characters have been released.

What is the plot of ‘Practical Magic 2’?
You might remember the original film follows the story of the Owens sisters who are from a long line of witches. They’ve avoided doing any witchcraft themselves due to a curse placed on their bloodline – one that causes any man that an Owens woman falls in love with to die. But when things take a turn in their lives, the sisters find they have no option but to cast some spells…
There’s no word yet on the plot for the Practical Magic sequel, it’s being kept tightly under wraps!
When will ‘Practical Magic 2’ be released?
The magical film is coming September 18, 2026.
