Mimi Webb Shares Emotional Live Video for “You Don’t Look At Me The Same” Ahead of New Album

Mimi Webb has released a live performance video of her new single “You Don’t Look At Me The Same,” offering fans an intimate glimpse into one of her most vulnerable songs to date. The track, lifted from her forthcoming sophomore album Confessions (due September 12 via Epic Records), arrives as the British singer-songwriter continues to expand her deeply personal new era.

The stripped-back video, filmed in London and directed by Jake Erland, puts Webb’s powerful vocals at the forefront. Accompanied only by stark piano, the performance spotlights the emotional weight of the ballad, which traces the painful unraveling of a once-close relationship. Its haunting refrain — “Oh, you don’t look at me the same” — is delivered with aching clarity, capturing the devastation of love quietly fading away.

In a statement, Mimi Webb described the song as her most personal release yet. “It’s written from the perspective of a child, telling the story of two people you love who are no longer on the same page — and you slowly watch them grow apart,” she explained. “Writing this was incredibly therapeutic for me, and I hope it brings the same sense of comfort and understanding to anyone who listens.”

The live performance follows the unveiling of the single’s official music video, also helmed by Erland, which dropped earlier this week. It comes after a whirlwind stretch for Webb, who recently hosted her own Confessions Hour on Apple Music Radio, using the platform to introduce new music and share influences behind her upcoming record.

Confessions was written and recorded between Los Angeles and London and promises to be Mimi Webb’s most unfiltered project yet — a mix of heartbreak narratives, empowerment anthems, and moments of raw self-discovery. “I decided to be brutally honest,” Webb said of the album. “It’s easy to pretend everything is wonderful, but I wanted to open up and scream, ‘This is who I am!’.”

“You Don’t Look At Me The Same” follows her playful summer single “Love Language,” which arrived with a tongue-in-cheek video set at a surreal dog show, and “Mind Reader,” her earlier collaboration with Meghan Trainor. Together, the tracks showcase the range of her upcoming album, from introspective vulnerability to confident pop spectacle.

With over a billion streams, a BRIT Award nomination, and festival sets at Lollapalooza, Governors Ball, and Outside Lands already behind her this year, Webb’s momentum continues to build. Next month, she’ll embark on The Confessions Tour across Europe and the UK, with a career milestone headline show at London’s O2 Academy Brixton.
