Maitland Ward says she can earn “six figures a month” in the adult film industry.
Maitland Ward opens up on her career change
The 49-year-old former Boy Meets World star has reflected on her decision to swap Hollywood for OnlyFans, explaining that she made up to $25,000 an episode for the classic sitcom.
In a new episode of Investigation Discovery show Hollywood Demons, she said: “[With a TV show] you don’t have all the guarantees out there.
“In porn or OnlyFans, I can get six figures a month… There is also my adult film sales and I am creating this brand.
“I can make it go for as long as I want it to go.”
Maitland joined Boy Meets World as Rachel McGuire in the sixth season in 1998, and rose to fame in the 90s and 00s in the likes of White Chicks and The Bold And The Beautiful.
In 2019, she moved away from mainstream acting and started a career as an adult film star.
She recently told Fox News: “I can’t speak to how Hollywood is today because it’s such a different animal than it was back when I was getting into it.
“Back then, I think they looked at these young actors as like property coming in.
“And I really believe the studios, they wanted to mold and form these young actors into what they wanted them to be, what they needed them to be for the company and for the audience, to
what they felt would identify with.”
Maitland has insisted she felt more “empowered” by her new career than she did in television.
She explained: “Just to be naked by myself and be confident in my body and myself, I would never have been able to do that [before].
“Porn has really given that to me — that empowerment, to be able to stand in my own skin, to be able to create projects that I want to create and be proud of, to go against the mold and do something that other people haven’t done.”
