Still riding the wave of acclaim from his most recent era, Louis Tomlinson returns this week with a special extended edition of his UK No.1 album ‘How Did I Get Here?’, offering fans a deeper look into a record that has firmly cemented his solo trajectory and continued evolution as an artist.
Available now across all major digital platforms, the expanded edition of the life-affirming record brings together the original ‘How Did I Get Here?’ track-list with nine additional songs that were previously only accessible through physical releases or limited-time digital downloads, giving fans a fuller, more complete version of the project.
Among the standout additions are ‘The Observer’ and ‘The Answer’, both of which have already taken on a life of their own as key moments in Louis’s How Did We Get Here? World Tour setlist. The global run began in March in Hamburg and will continue through October, spanning more than 50 dates across Europe, the United States, and Australia. Onstage, the new tracks have quickly become live highlights and fan favourites, and now, for the first time, they’re available to stream as part of the extended edition.
As an additional gift for fans, Louis has also released a special live performance video for ‘Sunflowers’, captured during the European leg of his recent tour. The footage arrives as a celebration of the expanded album’s release, offering an intimate snapshot of the song in its live setting and highlighting the energy and connection that has defined the shows so far.

Serving as the follow up to 2022’s ‘Faith In The Future’ – which also debuted at No. 1 on the Official UK Album Chart – ‘How Did I Get Here?’ has made quite the impact since its release back in January.
Co-produced with Nico Rebscher (Macklemore) and partially crafted during a three-week retreat in Costa Rica, allowing Tomlinson to soak in natural inspiration, the record sees Louis push himself as a lyricist, songwriter, and performer, holding nothing back – much to the delight of fans both old and new!
Commenting on the projects personal and creative significance during the time of its release, the ‘Just Hold On’ singer said: “I sum up the project up as ‘the record I always deserved to make’. My bread and butter is the honesty. I genuinely wear my heart on my sleeve, and I hope it comes through in the music. I’m still learning and getting better as a singer and a songwriter. I find it impossible to be complacent; it’s not in my vocabulary. For the first time now, I’m allowing myself to be the artist I’d always hoped to be.”
Tonight Tomlinson’s How Did We Get Here? Tour rolls into Brighton, ahead of his sold-out show at The O2 in London on May 3rd. Later in the month he will perform as one of the Saturday headliners at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Sunderland.
