Louis Theroux Cameos In ‘SNL UK’ Sketch Roasting His Presenting Style

Louis Theroux proved he is not as thin-skinned as some of his Inside the Manosphere subjects by sending himself up on Saturday Night Live UK.

The celebrated British documentary maker featured in a sketch roasting his presenting style, with a flock of Therouxs gathering in a cheap hotel room.

Alongside actual Theroux was SNL guest host Ncuti Gatwa, Al Nash, and Larry Dean, all with graying hair, glasses, and the same blue shirt.

“Really? Can I say that?” they all chirped in Theroux’s distinctive style. “It was in that moment, we had a noise complaint,” the Therouxs said, as if narrating a documentary.

Enter actual Theroux to rapturous cheers and applause. “Sorry to be a bother, but you’re actually being quite loud. Is that fair to say?” Cue echoes of, “Is that fair to say?” from the other Therouxs.

The sketch ended with Theroux declaring: “Hey Louis’, wanna try the trouser press? Shall we get started!”

As Saturday Night Live UK‘s first season comes to an end, Sky will be able to reflect on a show that has confounded expectations, produced viral moments, and provided some of the Comcast-owned network’s highest ratings of the year. The series was renewed for a second season, which will premiere in September.

SNL UK is produced by UTAS UK and Broadway Video for Sky and Now. James Longman is the lead producer. Lorne Michaels is executive producing; for Broadway Video, Erin David serves as producer; for UTAS UK, Helen Kruger Bratt oversees production.
