What’s better than one girl group? THREE of them, teaming up for a collaboration that’s absolutely iconic, but definitely not a mistake!
LE SSERAFIM, ILLIT and KATSEYE (who are all part of HYBE) have surprised fans with a new joint single called ‘Iconic By Mistake’, which is both a thank you and a middle finger to their online trolls. The 14-strong supergroup responds to the online criticism and digital harassment that they face, while addressing the fact that they have the last laugh here – haters who waste their time trolling the girls are actually raising their profile.

Directed by Cody Critcheloe, the track comes accompanied by a post-apocalyptic music video with each group occupying their own universe. The dystopian visual is a defiant offering which sees the girls subtly address particular criticisms they’ve received, including KATSEYE’s Daniela being ridiculed online for her exuberant dance moves and facial expressions.
This is an epic visual which is a perfect response to those online trolls. The overarching message is clear: keep hating, because you’re only making these girl groups more successful, powerful, and damn right iconic.
LE SSERAFIM x ILLIT x KATSEYE – ‘Iconic By Mistake’
2026 is a big year for all three girl groups. ILLIT are making their mark with shows in Japan, whilst both LE SSERAFIM and KATSEYE are heading out on world tours, including stops in the UK. LE SSERAFIM play London’s The O2 on October 16, with KATSEYE headlining the same venue on September 3-4 and Manchester’s Co-op Arena on September 6.
