The 41-year-old singer chose a low-key announcement for the happy news in a post on her Instagram page, as she shared a snap of her growing bump without directly referencing it.
Alongside the picture montage, Katie wrote: “Iceland you are spectacular, I’m so keen to visit again.
“We were invited for a majestic concert at the Harpa Concert hall.
“We soaked in the Blue Lagoon, stood on solidified lava from a recent volcanic eruption, lupins were out in full force, and that church (Hallgrímskirkja, the iconic Reykjavík landmark featured in the film When the Light Breaks), every bit as striking in person.
“Thank you, Reykjavík.”
In one picture, Katie was seen laying on her back in the water of the Blue Lagoon, with her bump popping out of the water in her red swimsuit.
People in the comments section were quick to offer their congratulations, with one writing: “Oh wow, is baby No2 on their way?”
Another added: “Baby bump? Congratulations! hope you are keeping well.”
A third wrote: “Congratulations, Katie!”
While someone else commented: “It’s a second baby!”
The pregnancy news comes after Katie previously told Hello! magazine in 2023 that she had always hoped to be a young mum, so wondered if her fertility was going to be a problem when she struggled to conceive with ex-husband James Toseland.
She went on to find love with another man, the father of her child, but has always kept his identity private.
She told the publication of the relationship: “I slid into the best years and times of my life. He’s an incredible person, super down-to-earth and super relaxed and chilled. It’s been amazing.
“It’s difficult to talk about it because you can sound really cringe but it has been magical and every day gets better and better. I wanted to capture the moment. First my uncertainty and then how very natural our love feels.”
Katie gave birth to son Sandro in November 2022.
