Finn Forster Shares Self-Directed Video for Heartfelt New Single “Strangers”

Following a breakout run that included a headline UK tour and an appearance at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend, rising British singer-songwriter Finn Forster is keeping the momentum going with the release of the video for his latest single, “Strangers”.

Directed by Forster himself, the emotional visual brings the song’s themes of love, loss, and missed connections to life. The video follows two former lovers now living separate lives, while a parallel contemporary dance performance by two young dancers reflects their story, amplifying the track’s poignant lyrics.

“Strangers” received its first airplay on BBC Radio 1 during Jack Saunders and Sian Eleri’s Road to R1BW show, where Forster joined the hosts live on air. The single marks the beginning of a new chapter for the “Can’t Back Down” singer and offers an early glimpse of a larger body of work expected in the months ahead.

Commenting on the track, Finn explains: “‘Strangers’ is about the full circle moments you have with someone in a relationship. Going from total strangers, to being in love or meaning everything to them, to then going back to acting like strangers again. It’s one of those songs for me that came to me when I least expected it, and turned into a finished song really quickly. It doesn’t always come together that fast, but there’s something that feels incredibly raw and real when a song literally falls out of me in that way.”

“Strangers” arrived as Forster was wrapping up his biggest UK headline tour to date, a 12-date run that saw the majority of shows sell out, further cementing his status as one of Britain’s most promising emerging artists. The singer-songwriter will keep that momentum going throughout the summer with appearances at major festivals including the Isle of Wight Festival, TRNSMT and Boardmasters.

Later this year, Finn will return to the road as support for New York rock artist Des Rocs. The tour begins in the UK in October before continuing across Europe.
