She is the tonic we all need right now.
Our singing superstar Delta Goodrem, sharing on the world stage the talent and wow factor we have enjoyed for so long here in Australia, and taking our country to the grand final of the Eurovision Song contest.
Her performance, putting her in contention for the big prize, was simply extraordinary.
Watch the video above.
There’s no doubt Delta can sing, but she absolutely shone – brighter than the thousands of crystals that adorned her stunning golden gown.
With fireworks and flowing hair, she soared high above her piano on a rising podium with poise and power. Like her song Eclipse, Delta overshadowed all the other contenders.
That sort of star power comes from within, and is finessed by years of hard work.

Delta signed her first recording contract at just 15 years of age, and she’s been on the stage and screen her whole life.
She is a born performer, and while she’s had great success in Australia, Delta deserves to be recognised around the world.
“Like everything she does, Delta has given this Eurovision moment her all, and she deserves to win.”
Above all else, Delta is also a fabulous person.
She’s genuine, she cares, she takes time to meet her fans and she’s experienced life’s highs and lows, like her cancer battle more than 20 years ago.
Just after her debut album Innocent Eyes reached number one, Delta was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma and underwent eight gruelling months of chemotherapy and radiation treatment.
At just 18, she was in the toughest battle of her life, when she should have been celebrating the biggest highs of her career as her music broke Australian records.
Delta says beating cancer changed the trajectory of her life, and she continues to be passionate about giving back. Now she deserves to get something back in the form of a new international accolade.
Making it this far at Eurovision is an accomplishment in itself – especially considering Australia doesn’t have the voting pull of many of the countries Delta is up against.
But like everything she does, Delta has given this Eurovision moment her all, and she deserves to win.
The closest Australia’s ever come to victory in Eurovision is with Dami Im back in 2016, who finished in second place. A decade later, it feels as though this could be our time.
All of Australia is behind Delta, now it’s time for Europe to do the same. Go Delta!
