Dolly Parton is addressing rumours about her health – and yes, we can all breathe a sigh of relief, our Queen is okay!
The music icon recently cancelled her Las Vegas concerts due to “health challenges”, and this week, her sister Freida Parton asked fans for prayers:
“Last night, I was up all night praying for my sister, Dolly. Many of you know she hasn’t been feeling her best lately. I truly believe in the power of prayer, and I have been lead to ask all of the world that loves her to be prayer warriors and pray with me. She’s strong, she’s loved, and with all the prayers being lifted for her, I know in my heart she’s going to be just fine. Godspeed, my sissy Dolly. We all love you!”
Add to that some AI images which have been doing the rounds of fellow country icon Reba McIntyre visiting a sick Dolly, and well… of course, we’ve all been worried sick.
But Dolly has since posted a video on Instagram, clearing it all up:
“I know lately everybody thinks I’m sicker than I am. Do I look sick to you?” she asks, smiling from the set of a commercial shoot. “I’m working hard here! I want you to know that I’m okay.”

Dolly says she didn’t stay on top of her health while looking after her late husband, Carl, so her doctors are now addressing several issues. She doesn’t say what these are, but does confirm it’s “nothing major.”
“I wanted you to know that I’m not dying…. I’m not ready to die yet. I don’t think God is through with me and I ain’t done working.”
Dolly also addressed the AI pics – “If I was really dying, I don’t think Reba would be the one at my deathbed. She might come visit me earlier.”
Captioning her video, Dolly posted, “I ain’t dead yet.”
Relief.
