Carrie Bickmore is set to undergo surgery following a horror accident across the Easter break.
The 45-year-old TV host shared grizzly images with her followers on Monday afternoon, showing a deep cut on her head after “walking into the corner of a wall” and hitting a nerve.
“Looked like a crime scene,” Bickmore said alongside the carousel of photos, including one of her head wrapped in bandages. “Blood spurting from my head.
“Got it glued back together so I could go on holiday with my family the next day 😳Turns out I have hit a nerve.”
She said the cut was “healing terribly” and that she was still hurting, but the pain didn’t stop there.
“Also randomly had a lady drop her carry on suitcase on my head. 🤣 God it hurt,” she continued.

“Now gotta have it fixed properly by a plastic surgeon. Scars are hot yeh?”
Bickmore joked she had a “face for radio” but was going to be appearing on a new TV show later this evening.
The page was flooded with comments from her celebrity pals, with Rob Mills writing: “Rest up and heal well. That’s a lot.”
Model Olivia Molly Rogers added: “Omg Carrie!!! You don’t do things in halves do you! 🫶🏼,” while Anna Heinrich wrote: “Hectic. Poor thing xx.”
The former Project host is a proud mother of three.
She shares son Oliver, 19, with her late husband Greg Lange, and daughters Evie, 11, and Addie Walker, seven, with her former partner Chris Walker.
Bickmore announced the couple’s seperation in 2023.
“Hi there. It’s with immense sadness that [we] have decided to separate,” the duo said in a statement at the time.
“While this is a tough time, our focus is to concentrate on parenting, loving and supporting our three amazing children, Ollie, Evie and Addie with everything we’ve got.
“They are doing great. We won’t be making any further comment at this stage.”
News of their split comes just two months after Bickmore, 42, announced she was leaving The Project after 13 years. She said she was stepping back for good so she could spend more time with her family.
“I have made the tough decision to finish up hosting the show at the end of the year,” she said. “It’s been the hardest decision of my professional life to make this call, but it’s time for a new challenge and my next chapter.”
