Waka Flocka Flame has some big news: he’s expecting a baby boy.
The rapper, real name Juaquin James Malphurs, shared the announcement on social media yesterday on his 40th birthday alongside a photo of a large wooden letter “J” engraved with the name “Juaquin Jr.”
“Just waiting for you to come home Jr. Best gift a man could ever ask for. I walked 40yrs on earth!!” he wrote
While this will be Waka’s first biological child, fans of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta watched him take on the role of a father figure to reality star Tammy Rivera’s daughter, Charlie.
Waka and Rivera began dating in 2011, and Charlie was just 4 years old when he entered her life.
Over the years, the father-daughter pair developed a close relationship, so much so that Charlie asked Waka if he would adopt her during an episode of Waka & Tammy: What The Flocka in 2021.
Although Waka and Tammy eventually went their separate ways, his relationship with Charlie remained strong.
In fact, he bought Charlie her very first condo.
In a September 2025 post, Tammy shared photos of her daughter proudly holding her closing key and thanked Waka for the gift.
“Imagine the first time you move out on your own, you’re buying a condo PAID IN FULL!! Thanks to dad @wakaflocka and most importantly God! No mortgage shawty! I’m soo happy and proud of you lil mama! You deserve it all! You grown grown!” she wrote on Instagram.
“The realest way we going all the way thru der one of many my babygirl all grown up ProudDad,” Waka added.
During an recentappearance on Carlos King’s Reality With the King podcast, Rivera reflected on their relationship and said they were able to preserve their friendship despite ending their marriage in 2022.
Waka has not publicly shared details about the mother of his baby on the way, and he has not revealed when Juaquin Jr. is expected to arrive.
