Aubrey Plaza has given fans their first proper look at her pregnancy, appearing on US television with her baby bump on display.
The 41-year-old comedian joined The View, marking her first on-screen appearance since confirming she’s expecting her first child with partner Christopher Abbott.
Dressed in an oversized blue Celine sweater vest worn as a minidress, Plaza’s bump was visible as she took her seat – and she embraced the moment with her signature dry humour.

Host Whoopi Goldberg pointed out she had joked about Plaza being pregnant during a previous appearance in October, prompting the show to replay the clip.
In it, Plaza told the audience, “Whoopi and I have a little secret,” before Goldberg quipped, “We’re pregnant!”
“I’m carrying Whoopi’s baby, but it’s a cat,” Plaza added.

Back in the studio, Plaza kept the joke going, rubbing her stomach as the audience reacted.
“Thank you. The cat is doing great,” she said.
The baby is due in the American autumn, which falls during spring in Australia.
”It was a beautiful surprise after an emotional year,” a source told People.
“They feel very blessed.”
She revealed the news on the Smartless podcast, saying she has always wanted to be a mum and is excited for motherhood.
Plaza and Abbott have worked together across stage and screen, including the 2023–2024 Off-Broadway revival of Danny and the Deep Blue Sea and the 2020 film Black Bear. It has not been publicly confirmed when their relationship began.
Abbott is known for his role in Girls, along with film credits including Poor Things and The Testament of Ann Lee.
Before confirming the pregnancy, Plaza had been seen at Paris Fashion Week in an oversized leather jacket layered over a red jumper, keeping attention away from her midsection at the time.

Abbot and Plaza were first linked in 2025, following the death of her husband, filmmaker Jeff Baena. He died in January 2025 by suicide.
Plaza and Baena started dating in 2011 and got married while quarantining together during COVID.
In September 2024, the couple split when Plaza moved to New York – four months before his death.
