Which country has most Olympic medals? Counts ahead of 2026 Games

The 2026 Olympics from Milan are nearly here. For decades, the Olympics have offered people from around the globe an opportunity to express their patriotism in a sports setting.

Unfortunately, not all countries have done the same amount of cheering. Some countries have experienced vast amounts of success, where others have just felt lucky to be invited. In fact, the discrepancy has become so vast that the most successful countries don’t care about individual medals anymore. All that matters is making sure you have the most medals, whether it be the most golds, or the most all-around.

While other countries’ athletes are fighting for the opportunity to hear their national anthems, the top dogs hear theirs dozens of times in a single summer or winter.
