PHILADELPHIA — As the Philadelphia 76ers prepare for the Sacramento Kings on Thursday night, they will be missing a key piece to coach Nick Nurse’s bench unit.
Quentin Grimes will miss his second straight game due to a right ankle sprain that it appears he suffered in Monday’s loss to the Charlotte Hornets. The 5-year guard out of Houston is averaging 13.3 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 3.7 assists while shooting 34.4% from deep in his first full season with the Sixers after being acquired at the 2025 deadline.

While Grimes is out, the Sixers will have Paul George available. The 9-time All-Star was listed as probable for this contest due to left knee injury management, so it’s good for the Sixers to have him out there.
With Grimes out, the Sixers will likely turn to Jared McCain and reward him with some more minutes after the second-year guard broke out against the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday. Philadelphia will need McCain to keep stacking these days moving forward.
