Renad from Gaza Shares Message of Thanks for Greta Thunberg – CelebrityKind || Positive Celebrity News | Movies TV Music Books

Renad Attallah, an 11-year-old Palestinian girl better known as “Renad from Gaza”, who has captivated the attention of more than 1.3 million people on social media thanks to her viral cooking videos, has shared a message of thanks for Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg.

In a post on Instagram, Renad referred to Greta’s mission to bring baby formula, flour and other necessities to the people of Gaza aboard civilian aid ship, the Madleen:

“Dear Greta,

Millions of children and I have been waiting for you – not just for the aid, but for your embrace, a long embrace that would let us feel a little freedom and peae after two years of war and hunger.

We wanted the world to finally see what childhood really looks like in a world that speaks of peace every day.

I even wished I could cook for you – even in the midst of the famine we’re living through – and I know you would have loved the food.

You are brave. You are hope. One day, we will meet. Always waiting for you.”

Greta was on board the ship along with 11 others: Rima Hassan, Yasemin Acar, Baptiste Andre, Thiago Avila, Omar Faiad, Pascal Maurieras, Yanis Mhamdi, Suayb Ordu, Sergio Toribio, Mark van Rennes and Reva Viard. (There were reports Game of Thrones actor Liam Cunningham was part of the group – he is not on board the ship but is regularly using his platform to highlight the Gaza genocide.”

The yacht has since been seized by Israel with a number of the activists being deported, including Greta.
