Kyle and Jackie O fight: Kyle Sandilands shares major update on Jackie O’s possible return to The Kyle and Jackie O Show after their on-air fight

Jackie ‘O’ Henderson will soon return to the airwaves, according to Kyle Sandilands, who announced this morning on KIIS’ The Kyle & Jackie O Show his missing co-host “will be returning in the future”.

Sandilands, 54, said he had “signed off” on a statement that will “come out from Jackie’s camp”.

He said he isn’t directly involved in any negotiations, explaining that it is in the hands of management.

“I’m not the one putting out the fire, even though I lit the match,” he added.

Sandilands is currently sharing hosting duties with The Kyle & Jackie O Show newsreader Brooklyn Ross.

Later during the show’s intro, Sandilands referenced an on air spat by two American television journalists, saying: “Me and Jackie aren’t the only ones having a falling out on air”.

Sandilands even went on to share some astrological information on Henderson’s behalf later in the show, while talking about the Blood Moon lunar eclipse happening tonight.

“Now some information Jackie would normally share but she’s not here so I will,” Sandilands said before discussing the lunar eclipse.

Sandilands and Ross talked about the supposed power of an eclipse.

Ross said: “Jackie always said in her world the eclipse is a big moment and you want to be out there looking at it.”

Sandilands then joked that he hopes it “forces her back to work”, to which Ross responded he hopes it “convinces her”.

“The eclipse can force her, men can’t,” Sandilands added.

Before throwing to the first song Sandilands referenced how tired he was working on the radio show and his Australian Idol duties, Ross commented: “It’s been hard for me too.” He added that it has “been difficult without Jackie, we miss her”.

During a discussion with a caller about organising a wedding, Sandilands said the lesson he had learned in recent days is “don’t say everything you think”.

And while playing Ronan Keating’s If Tomorrow Never Comes, an emotional Sandilands said: “If I die, let Jackie know I love her and I was wrong.”

This is the second week Henderson, 51, has been off air after she was left in tears when Sandilands accused her of unprofessionalism and an obsession with astrology.

She was expected to return this week, however failed to reappear after reported ongoing negotiations between Henderson’s management and ARN, the owners of KIIS.

“It’s just the two of us again,” Sandilands said at the start of Monday’s show.

“It’s a shame Jackie isn’t here, she won’t be here all week again everyone, for all those monitoring.

“I do feel like Jackie will be back. I know there’s a lot of speculation and everyone thinks they know everything, if anyone would know anything it would be me but I know nothing, zero.

“Even the people dealing with it, I ring and ask, ‘Hey, what’s the latest?’ They go, ‘Oh, we don’t know.'”

Brooklyn chimed in and said: “I’ve spoken to her but I don’t have anything to report really, just that’s she’s fine and doing well.”

ARN told nine.com.au in a statement on Monday: “Jackie has told us she will continue her break this week. Her health and welfare remain our number one priority.”

During their on-air fight on February 20, Jackie O read from Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s astrology birth chart when things kicked off.

”Your fixation on this has made you almost unworkable,” Sandilands told her, with the pair having worked together for years.

“You are off with the fairies with this s–t, it’s mental.”

He said her fixation on astrology charts made her like a “drug addict”, knowing Henderson has faced addiction struggles before.

“You are not doing the rest of the job, and everyone in this building has mentioned it to me.”

“You don’t know what the f–k is going on all the time, because you’re looking at that phone, playing in the stars, and it’s ridiculous,” he added in part.

Sandilands and Henderson have been an on air partnership for 27 years after starting their careers hosting the Top 30 on 2Day FM in 1999.

They moved to breakfast in 2005 and then to KIIS in 2014 when they are currently under contract in a lucrative $200m 10-year deal which runs until December 2034.
