‘Josephine’ Star Mason Reeves Signs With TFC Management (EXCLUSIVE)

EXCLUSIVE: TFC Management has signed Mason Reeves, the eight-year-old breakout star of Beth de Araújo’s drama Josephine, following its world premiere at Sundance, where it won both the Grand Jury Award and the Audience Award in U.S. Dramatic Competition.

Marking Reeves’ acting debut, and establishing her as one to watch, Josephine centers on her eight-year-old title character, who witnesses a violent crime in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park while spending the day with her father, played by Channing Tatum. In the aftermath, the child spirals — not simply with words, but with behavior — as she seeks a sense of safety in a world that can no longer offer it.

Josephine was one of the big success stories of Sundance 2026, securing a seven-figure deal with Sumerian Pictures, which will release the film in U.S. theaters and campaign it for awards. Post-Sundance, the film went on to premiere internationally at the 76th Berlin Film Festival, where it was nominated for the Golden Bear.

A third-generation San Francisco native, Reeves was discovered at her neighborhood farmer’s market at age seven. Born to a mother of Chinese descent and a father who’s half Costa Rican, she is trilingual. When she’s not spending time with her three siblings, two cats, and a dog, she can be found at her jujitsu academy, reading, or doing arts and crafts.

TFC Management and TFC Productions were founded by former WME and UTA partners, David Stone and Ben Jacobson, in 2020. On the management side, their clients range from on-camera talent like Dakota and Elle Fanning, Shira Haas, Lashana Lynch, JD Pardo, Dan Ings, and Josh Hutcherson to creators, filmmakers, novelists, and producers like Warren Littlefield, Brian Yorkey, Megan Park, Adam Reed, Akiva Goldsman, Courtney Lilly, Josh & Jonas Pate, and Rebecca Serle.

Upcoming on the production side, TFC has the A24/Apple series Margo’s Got Money Troubles created by David E. Kelley and starring Elle Fanning, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Nicole Kidman. Also on their upcoming slate is Bobby Farrelly’s comedy Driver’s Ed starring Molly Shannon, Kumail Nanjiani, and Sam Nivola — an AGC Studios title, which premiered at last year’s Toronto Film Festival.
