Jake Paul has shut down rumours his engagment to Olympic speed-skater Jutta Leerdam has been called off.
In a post on X, the YouTuber-turned-boxer denied reports that have been circulating in the Dutch press about their relationship.
“Seeing the Dutch media lying about my fiancé Jutta and I,” he said in a post to X.

“There is so much false information being spread about Jutta in the past years. It needs to stop.”
Reports emerged in the Netherlands, Leerdam’s home country, on April 6 that Paul had called it quits over a heated fight.
Dutch media personality Yvonne Coldeweijer was the first to make the claim.

“Jutta has been dumped by her fiancé Jake! He is completely done with her! Oh my God, this story is so juicy,” Yvonne wrote on her gossip page on Instagram.
“So, two weeks ago, Jake dropped her off at home, took the ring from her, and broke off the engagement and thus the relationship.
“According to a very reliable spy, Jutta has been showing more and more of her true nature lately.”
Paul has obviously seen the reports, leading to his firmly-worded response online.
This isn’t the first time in recent weeks that the couple have dodged break-up rumours.
Fans first grew concerned when they realised Paul and Leerdam’s social media interactions had dwindled.
Rumours were further fuelled after Paul’s mum, Pam Stepnick, posted a cryptic message about marriage on her Instagram page.
”Marriage isn’t about finding someone perfect — it’s about choosing someone whose imperfections you understand, accept, and are willing to stand beside anyway,” she wrote in the caption of
“You don’t just marry their best days, their strengths, or the version of them that’s easy to love. You marry their fears, their flaws, their habits, their history — all of it.
“Real love is saying: I see you fully… and I’m still choosing you. And if you can’t accept the whole person — not just the highlight reel — then it’s not a forever kind of love.”
Leerdam and Paul posted news about their engagement on Instagram in March 2025.
They shared a joint Instagram post with pictures from the dreamy proposal.
Paul chose a mountainous background and scattered white flower petals on the ground, setting up candles for the romantic occasion.
The couple both wore white as Paul got down on one knee with a ring box in his hand.
“We’re engaged,” Paul wrote. “We can’t wait to spend forever together.”
Paul and Leerdam first met on Instagram on 2022 but officially announced their relationship in 2023, according to Olympics.com.
Leerdam spoke more about the experience in the documentary Countdown: Paul vs. Tyson.
“Jake sent me a DM on Instagram and asked if I wanted to be on his podcast. And I was like, ‘Okay, let’s do it. Can be good, can be nice,'” she recalled.
“I never, ever expected to date him, like never. Of course, I didn’t know a lot about him. I could only scroll on his Instagram and form an opinion like the whole world does. But he is the complete opposite.”
