He first showed it at just three years old, performing in church, and again a few years later when his rendition of The Jackson 5’s ‘I Want You Back’ won over a wider audience. Still, his path initially led elsewhere – onto screens – where he rose to prominence on Raven’s Home and appeared in hits like Black-ish and Family Guy.
Hailing from Detroit, Issac Ryan Brown’s star quality has always felt innate. He first showed it at just three years old, performing in church, and again a few years later when his rendition of The Jackson 5’s ‘I Want You Back’ won over a wider audience. Still, his path initially led elsewhere – onto screens – where he rose to prominence on Raven’s Home and appeared in hits like Black-ish and Family Guy.
But when Raven’s Home wrapped, Brown turned back to his first love: music. He soon caught the attention of Steven Machat – a veteran known for helping launch the careers of Bobby Brown, Babyface and L.A. Reid – who signed him to SSK Records.
What followed was a period of intense development: three years honing his craft alongside Arno Spires and Chris Ballard, before heading to London to refine his sound with legendary hitmaker Wayne Hector.
