Hudson Williams Skates Onto Connor Storrie’s ‘SNL’ Debut In Cameo

As inklings of Hudson Williams‘ potential Saturday Night Live cameo percolated in the days leading up to his Heated Rivalry co-star Connor Storrie‘s debut hosting gig, the Canadian actor glided onto Studio 8H ice during a sketch.

Well, rather, he crashed into Storrie and SNL stars Mikey Day and Ben Marshall, all of whom were playing happy-go-lucky pals skating at the Rockefeller Center rink, who were unwittingly interrupting a disastrous proposal between Veronika Slowikowska and Tommy Brennan’s characters.

As the trio awaited Williams, the breakout star zoomed onto the ice to loud cheers from the audience. Slowikowska and Brennan were in the foreground trying to tamp down a smile amid the applause.

Throughout the sketch, Slowikowska attempts to redirect her would-be-fiance’s attention to their romantic disintegration, as he becomes increasingly distracted by the skaters’ unabated whimsy and random lore.

“I’ve never felt so cool,” Williams says as he forms a conga line with his friends.

In response, Brennan balks at the idea — surely, Williams has experienced cooler things?

At another point, Storrie’s character mentions Kendrick Lamar in familiar terms, and Brennan once again interrupts Slowikowska to express disbelief that the guy has any connection to the Grammy-winning rapper.

As Slowikowska struggles to once again pivot the conversation to their dying relationship and diverging life paths, Brennan is shown on the ice, dismissively saying, “OK, sounds good. I’m gonna hang with these guys.”

Later on in the show, Williams joined Storrie to introduce musical guest Mumford & Sons, whose performance included a surprise appearance by Hozier, as the two acts performed their song “Rubber Band Man.”
