The Baltimore Ravens trading for Maxx Crosby was a headline-maker as the franchise sent two first-round picks to the Las Vegas Raiders.

With the Ravens clearly pushing all the 2026 chips into the middle of the table, this move is seen as one that will hopefully put Baltimore over the top in its search for a Super Bowl title.

But as we know, the offense with Lamar Jackson is the straw that stirs the Ravens’ drink, and the ramifications of what this move does to Lamar can’t be understated.

ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky thinks that because of the Crosby trade, there are no more excuses for Lamar to get that Super Bowl.

“I love Lamar, there ain’t no more excuses now, this is all in,” Orlovsky said. “The coach, the offense, a game-wrecker on defense, this is now Baltimore and an ownership group going, you got to go get it done, Lamar. This is all in, this is a desperation move for an organization that’s saying we are on the backend of this window with this MVP quarterback and we’ve got to find a way to get it done.”

Is pressure all on Lamar?

It certainly does feel like it.

But also, Jackson’s Pro Bowl center, Tyler Linderbaum, was signed by the Las Vegas Raiders, creating a big hole in the middle of the offensive line. So that has to be taken into account as well.

The defense wasn’t good last season, but now with Jesse Minter taking over, plus the addition of Crosby, the hope is that the Ravens’ defensive bounce-back will be fierce.

However, all eyes will be on Lamar and the offense to see if they can finally put things together enough for a Super Bowl to be attainable.

Last year was a horror show, and Baltimore is doing its best to make sure it doesn’t happen again.
