The Boston Celtics bounced back from their loss to the Atlanta Hawks on Monday (March 29) with a blowout road win over the Miami Heat on Wednesday (April 1) evening, the Celtics beating the Heat 147-129. Miami actually kept the game close until Boston got separation near the end of the first frame, never relinquishing the lead afterward.
The Celtics won the shot margin by a single attempt, and on a night where it seemed like no one could miss on either team, Boston outshot the Heat 58 percent to 46 percent. The Cs also won the battle of the boards 48-37 and garnered 34 assists to Miami’s 27. With the win, the Celtics improve to 51-25 and further cement their hold on the Eastern Conference second place spot.
