The Wire actor Bobby J. Brown has died aged 62.
Brown’s daughter confirmed to US media, including Page Six, that her father had died from smoke inhalation after being caught in a barn fire.
The Maryland Office of the Chief Medical Examiner confirmed that the actor died on Tuesday, ruling the cause of death was diffuse thermal injury and smoke inhalation.
It was an accidental fire, local media reported.
It started when Brown jump-started a car in the barn, according to reports.
He called his family to bring a fire extinguisher, but by the time they arrived, the barn was engulfed in flames.
It’s understood Brown was inside and was killed by smoke inhalation, rather than burns.

He also starred in Law & Order: SVU and We Own This City.
The star’s agent released a statement saying she is ”upset and saddened” by his passing.
“He was such a good actor and person. He was totally dedicated to the craft of acting and was a joy to work with.”
Brown is survived by his son and daughter.
