Alix Earle has ‘gotten used to’ critics of her social media content

Alix Earle has “gotten used to” used to others criticising her for sharing her life on the internet.

Alix Earle has over eight million TikTok followers

The 25-year-old social media personality openly shares details about her personal life in her TikTok videos and accepts that the negative comments are part of the territory that comes with such a huge online presence.

Alix told People magazine: “There’s always a bunch going on on the internet, and I don’t know if something is wrong with me or not, but I love sharing everything on there.

“So I’ve gotten used to people either talking about me or sharing fake (information), and I think that’s just part of the job. It doesn’t really bother me.

“It’s definitely not for everyone. You have to have pretty thick skin for it.”

Earle has more than eight million followers on TikTok and revealed that the ability to “help” and “inspire” others is the reason she continues to post content.

The influencer said: “For me it’s just always worth it at the end of the day because I am able to either help someone or inspire them or entertain them. Connecting with my audience is the most special thing.”

When she isn’t creating social media content, Alix revealed that she tries to keep her days off as normal as possible.

She explained: “Recently I will sleep in as much as possible. Then I’ll take my dog on a nice long walk and get a good workout in. (It’s about) getting to enjoy some normalcy, making myself feel good and having a reset.”

Alix recently launched the skincare brand Reale Actives and explained that she was inspired to do so as a result of her acne struggles during her schooldays.

She recalled: “Around middle school I started to really struggle with my skin, and I would have my mom try to cover it up (with makeup). Then in high school I never was able to get my skin 100 per cent.

“I started (prescription drug) Accutane in college, and I did it three times. The third time was one of the lowest points of my life self-esteem wise. I didn’t want to leave the house. I didn’t want to go the gym. I didn’t want to go to class.”
