Boyzone’s long goodbye is turning into a full-blown pop celebration! The Irish boy band have announced that fellow late-’90s hitmakers S Club and B*Witched will join them as support acts for their upcoming final stadium shows, transforming the farewell dates into a nostalgic showcase of one of pop’s most enduring eras.
The lineup brings together three acts who helped define turn-of-the-millennium chart music across the UK and Ireland. For fans, it means a rare chance to experience a run of era-defining hits in one night – from Boyzone’s sweeping ballads to S Club’s euphoric anthems and B*Witched’s Celtic-infused pop hooks.
BBC Radio 2’s Scott Mills completes the guest line-up and is set to deliver high-energy live DJ sets across the weekend.
Boyzone’s Two For The Road shows at Emirates Stadium will be the only chance to see Boyzone perform live this year – and it’s already on track to become the biggest weekend of the band’s career. The Saturday show on June 6th has seen extraordinary demand, with all 44,000 tickets snapped up seven months in advance, while tickets for the opening night on Friday, June 5th are also selling fast.
Following the announcement of their impending support slot, S Club said in a joint statement: “The rumours are true! We are thrilled to be joining Boyzone’s biggest ever headline show, One For the Road: Live At Emirates Stadium on Friday June 5th. It’s going to be a special night for the lads and we’re going to be getting the party started and taking you all the way back to 1999, so come along and join us… because there ain’t no party like an S Club party!”
With B*Witched’s Edele Lynch adding: “We are delighted to be special guests to Boyzone at Emirates Stadium on the 6th June. This feels like a full circle for us as we supported them back in 1997 for our very first arena show. It’s such an honour to be sharing a stage again and obviously it’s extra special to be joining our brother Shane. We plan on putting on a great show with all our hits from back in the day including ‘C’est La Vie’, ‘Rollercoaster’, and ‘Blame It On The Weatherman’ but also some new music too with our new EP featuring our single ‘Firefly’ out soon! B*Witched fans you won’t want to miss this and Boyzone fans we will give you a treat. See you there!”
Scott Mills said: “What a dream to support the lads this summer, it’s going to be 2 nights of big tunes, big singalongs and plenty of 90s nostalgia. I hope you’re ready!”
