ALICIA KEYS AND SWIZZ BEATZ REACT AS SON EGYPT DEAN COMMITS TO EYBL TEAM SOLDIERS

Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz are celebrating a major basketball milestone for their son, Egypt Dean.

The 15-year-old recently announced that he has committed to play for Team Soldiers on the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL), one of the most competitive youth basketball circuits in the country.

The announcement was shared on social media with a graphic that read “COMMITTED,” showing Egypt in uniform with details noting his position as a guard. The post quickly drew attention from fans and family members, including supportive messages from both of his parents.

Swizz Beatz reposted the commitment graphic on Instagram and encouraged his son as he continues pursuing the sport.

“Keep on going KING and stay committed to your craft no matter what !! We love you ,” he wrote.

Alicia Keys also showed support in the comments, writing, “Discipline and Grit!!!!!!!.”

Egypt’s commitment to basketball has been years in the making, and his parents have previously spoken about the dedication they have watched develop over time.

In a birthday post shared last year, Swizz Beatz reflected on watching his son grow both on and off the court.

He wrote, “15yrs of pure EGYPT BLISS & BLESSINGS. Happy Birthday King we’re so proud of you. Your love for Music and Basketball is very inspiring King. Egypt has also spoken publicly about the role his father has played in shaping his love for basketball and life. In a post dedicated to Swizz Beatz, he wrote:

“I don’t post enough about family and right now I feel like my dad and his work has driven me so far in basketball and in life. He works so hard and still makes time for his family. This isn’t a birthday post or anything, this is just my gratitude towards him. This clip is super important because this love sparked my overall love for the game. Love you dad hope u find this well.
