Kelly Clarkson has announced that her hit talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, will be coming to an end after its current seventh season.
Taking to Instagram, the host and singer said that she was stepping away from the daily show so that she can prioritise her kids.
“I have been extremely fortunate to work with such an outstanding group of people at TKCS, both in Los Angeles and New York. There have been so many amazing moments and shows over these seven seasons,” Kelly said.
She went on to thank the “greatest band and crew you could hope for”, as well as all the fans who have supported the show, plus NBC for “always being such a supportive and incredible partner.”
Whilst Kelly acknowledges that stepping away feels necessary at this time, she told fans that this isn’t a goodbye. “I’ll still be making music, playing shows here and there, and you may catch me on The Voice from time to time…you never know where I might show up next.”

The Kelly Clarkson Show launched on NBC in September 2019. Over the years, Kelly has gone viral for her fun and thoughtful interviews, however, the show will most likely be remembered for its iconic Kellyoke segment. This is where Kelly would cover songs chosen by the audience, with standout moments including Billie Eilish’s ‘Happier Than Ever’, Stevie Nicks’ ‘Edge of Seventeen’, and La Roux’s ‘Bulletproof’.
One of our favourite The Kelly Clarkson Show moments was when Anne Hathaway was a guest on the show. Not only did she teach the world the best way to eat a cupcake, but she took on Kelly in a game of ‘Sing That Name That Tune’. She famously beat Kelly by identifying and belting out her smash hit ‘Since U Been Gone’.
In a press release, NBC said that production on season seven will continue as planned with Kelly as host. Special guest hosts will also be announced and season seven episodes will air through Fall 2026.
