Harry Lighton’s Pillion and Die My Love, the latest feature from Scottish auteur Lynne Ramsay, were among the titles announced this afternoon as winners in the British Independent Film Awards (BIFA) craft categories.
The awards were announced this morning in London ahead of next month’s official BIFA ceremony.
Two-time BIFA nominee Seamus McGarvey won Best Cinematography, and Raife Burchell and Ian Neil scooped Best Music Supervision for Die My Love.
Pillion also took two awards: Best Costume Design for Grace Snell and Best Make-Up & Hair Design for Diandra Ferreira.
Elsewhere, Tom Basden and Adem Ilhan won Best Original Music for The Ballad of Wallis Island. Best Casting went to Lauren Evans for I Swear by Kirk Jones, and Best Production Design went to Nathan Parker for his work on Athina Rachel Tsangari’s folk horror Harvest.
The winners of all remaining categories will be announced at the BIFA ceremony at the Roundhouse on 30th November.
