Notre Dame updates the injury status of Leonard Moore and others

Notre Dame football wasn’t at full-strength against Purdue, and that could be the same case this weekend at Arkansas as Mike Singer shared the news.

The Irish missed multiple starters against the Boilermakers, and while it didn’t matter much in the end, they sure would have liked to have them on the field. The most impactful player that Notre Dame missed was cornerback Leonard Moore, and once again he was listed on the availability report as questionable.

Another corner in DeVonta Smith appeared on the list as well, also as questionable, and his return will help the Irish’s struggling secondary as well. Kicker Noah Burnette missed the Purdue game also, and he has the same designation as last week as being questionable. Erik Schmidt filled in, and while he made all his extra points, he did miss his only field goal attempt.

While defensive tackle Jared Dawson didn’t make the list, he didn’t play against the Boilermakers, but head coach Marcus Freeman believes that he will return to the field this weekend. Notre Dame will need all the help that they can get defensively, as the Razorbacks have one of the best offenses in the country.
