MTV VMAs 2025: See the full list of WINNERS!

Viewers tuned in for the spectacle, but on Sunday night at New York’s UBS Arena, the spotlight was firmly on the music industry’s brightest stars as the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) handed out its signature Moon Person trophies. The annual celebration of pop culture moments, chart-toppers, and visual artistry delivered no shortage of standout wins — with Lady Gaga leading the charge.

Gaga, who entered the night as the most-nominated artist with 12 nods, proved her dominance once again by taking home four trophies, including the coveted MTV VMAs Artist of the Year. Her Bruno Mars collaboration “Die With a Smile” also secured Best Collaboration, while her vision behind the music earned her both Best Direction and Best Art Direction.k

The night also saw Ariana Grande collect three Moon Persons — including Video of the Year for “Brighter Days Ahead” — and Sabrina Carpenter emerge as another big winner with a trio of honors spanning Best Pop and MTV VMAs Album of the Year for Short n’ Sweet. Meanwhile, ROSÉ scored Song of the Year for her Bruno Mars duet “APT.” and BLACKPINK’s Lisa kept K-pop in the spotlight with her win for “Born Again” alongside Doja Cat and RAYE.

Legends were celebrated as well: Mariah Carey received the career-defining Video Vanguard Award, Ricky Martin became the first-ever recipient of the Latin Icon Award, and Busta Rhymes was honored with the Rock the Bells Visionary Award — each punctuating their recognition with powerhouse medley performances.
