Award-winning comedian and actor Lucy Pearman brings her critically acclaimed new show Lunartic to Soho Theatre, London this autumn, following a sell-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe 2025 that delighted critics and audiences alike.
In Lunartic, the Moon is putting on a show. But, as the Sun keeps reminding her, the Moon will never be a star – and without him, she’d be invisible altogether. Through her trademark blend of surreal character comedy, joyful audience participation and prop-fuelled silliness, Pearman takes us into a huge-hearted story about loneliness, big dreams, and wanting to be seen. As the Sun threatens to switch off the light altogether with a total eclipse, the Moon faces the dark – and the audience is invited to join her in a wonderfully daft celestial adventure.
Lucy Pearman is a comedian, actor and writer who wrote and starred in BBC Three’s Please Help, which was nominated for a BAFTA following its release. She was nominated for Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2017 for her debut full-hour show Maid of Cabbage. The show went on to have two sell-out runs at Soho Theatre. Her 2018 show Fruit Loop also transferred to Soho Theatre for two sold-out runs and received strong critical acclaim. In 2019 she returned with Baggage, which sold out its Edinburgh Fringe run and transferred to Soho Theatre later that year. Her most recent Fringe show, Lunartic (2025), was nominated for the Malcolm Hardee Award for Comic Originality and nominated for Best Variety Show at the Leicester Comedy Festival Awards.
Her earlier work includes her first solo show Crack in Progress (2016) and the musical comedy Prom Kween (2017), which was a five-star hit at the Edinburgh Fringe and received praise for its originality and energy.
On television she has played lead roles in BBC Two’s The Mind of Herbert Clunkerdunk and Mister Winner. She also starred in Dave’s Red Dwarf feature-length special – one of the channel’s highest rated programmes – and appeared on Channel 4’s Harry Hill’s Club Nite.
Lucy’s stage and screen work has been widely recognised. In addition to her Edinburgh Comedy Award Best Newcomer nomination, she has been nominated twice at the Leicester Comedy Festival Awards (Best Show, 2019; Best Variety Show, 2025). Please Help was nominated for a BAFTA, and she was nominated for the Malcolm Hardee Award for Comic Originality in 2025.
