TEYANA TAYLOR MAKES NYC APPEARANCE WITH DAUGHTERS, OPENS UP ABOUT HEALTH SCARE

Teyana Taylor hit the press trail with her two mini fashionistas by her side.

The singer and actress, 34, visited the SiriusXM Studios in New York City on August 5 with daughters Iman “Junie” Tayla, 9, and Rue Rose, 4, turning the visit into a chic mother-daughter moment.

Taylor rocked an edgy all-black look with leather pants, a sheer top, and dark sunglasses. Junie kept things cool in a graphic tee featuring artwork from her mom’s upcoming album Escape Room, paired with denim shorts and sneakers. Rue sweetened things up in a lilac top, white pants, and pink kicks.

Just a day after the outing, on August 6, Teyana revealed she’ll be stepping away from work to recover from vocal cord surgery. She shared on Instagram that doctors found a noncancerous growth and that she needs time to heal.

“I’ve been quietly dealing with some vocal challenges for a while now. And after a lot of back and forth with my doctors, I’ve been told I need vocal surgery immediately,” she wrote. “They found a noncancerous growth on one of my cords that’s been messing with my voice and causing real discomfort. Thankfully, we caught it & it’s treatable — but it does mean I need to pause and give myself time to fully heal.”

Despite the setback, Taylor confirmed that her album and short film Escape Room will still be released on August 22.

Taylor shares both daughters with ex-husband Iman Shumpert. Earlier this year, Taylor celebrated Mother’s Day with an emotional message to her girls.

“I swear, the biggest honor of my life is getting to be y’alls mommy. Thank You for being an example of pure, gentle, unconditional Love. You are the reasons my heart beats. My heart will forever beat to the drum you both play. I am forever grateful. I love you both so much,” she wrote.
