Blair Imani, the effervescent personality and brilliant mind behind online media platform Smarter in Seconds, has announced she’s pregnant!
In a video posted on Instagram, Blair and her husband Atlas Akeem Ali (who’s wearing a rad “dad” cap) shared their sweet news with her 864,000 followers:
“So my wife has something important to tell you. You better be nice and pay attention the whole time,” Atlas said, hopping on the viral “announcement” trend that’s currently sweeping socials.
“We’re having a baby!” Blair giggled, taking a moment to show us the side profile of her growing bump, her smile radiating the depths of her joy.
Blair, who is also a podcaster, writer, mental health advocate and more, admitted it’s been getting difficult to hide her news. And while she’s opening up about some aspects of her pregnancy…
“We are having a girl, at least until she gets here and tells us otherwise” – she won’t be sharing baby’s due date or name.

Blair and Atlas, who previously experienced pregnancy loss, said this time around has certainly been nerve wracking. “But we have ultrasounds, we have a healthy baby, all the tests are coming back great, I’m so excited!” Blair continued.
And in true big-hearted-Blair-style, she considered the impact of her news on those who are perhaps struggling to conceive or don’t want kids at all, validating their feelings and reminding us all, we are each on our own journeys.
She ends her video, “I hope you can be happy for us, because we’re definitely happy for each other.”

Friends and fans of the couple have bombarded the comments section with love since their announcement. Actor Ava Phillippe posted “Oh! My! Goodness! Congratulations!”, and fellow actor Rosario Dawson commented, “Congratulations! Blessings to you’s and Baby Smartie!”
