Joe Jonas has teamed up with mobile farming game Hay Day for an unexpected summer collaboration, releasing “The Cozy Anthem,” a new single that reworks the game’s familiar theme into a full-fledged pop track. The release also launches a two-week virtual music festival running from June 16 through June 30 across the game and social media.
Blending bright acoustic textures with country-pop influences, “The Cozy Anthem” leans into a lighter side of Jonas’ catalog. The track embraces feel-good simplicity without overcomplicating its premise, transforming Hay Day’s instantly recognizable melody into an easygoing singalong built around themes of slowing down, switching off and finding comfort in everyday routines.
“With everything I’ve got going on, it’s not always easy to find a moment to disconnect. Hay Day has become one of those little escapes where I can relax, have fun, and recharge. There’s something strangely satisfying about checking on your farm before checking your emails,” Jonas said. “I loved getting to put my own twist on the Hay Day theme song, and I’m excited for everyone to hear ‘The Cozy Anthem,’ make it their own, and hopefully join me on the farm.”
Rather than pairing the release with a traditional music video, the collaboration unfolds inside the game itself. Beginning June 16, “The Cozy Anthem” becomes the soundtrack across every Hay Day farm, while interactive music notes and community milestones unlock collectible in-game rewards. Players can also access alternate “Cozy Covers” of the track before creating and sharing their own versions through a dedicated web experience and TikTok.
The campaign doubles as a virtual music festival headlined by Jonas, with emerging digital-first artists joining the lineup throughout the event. Players who participate can also unlock an exclusive Cozy Jukebox decoration that continues to play the song after the festival concludes.
While artist and gaming collaborations have become increasingly common, “The Cozy Anthem” stands apart by making the music part of the gameplay itself, turning a familiar game soundtrack into a community-driven release that extends well beyond a traditional single.
