The new trailer for Practical Magic 2 – the sequel to the 1998 film starring Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock – is here! This time we’re being introduced to a new generation of witches and how the “curse” impacts their lives…
The trailer opens with Stockard Channing’s character, Franny Owens, saying ,”No magic is stronger than sisterhood.” And over the next few minutes, we see just how powerful the bond between the Owens women really is.

Who is cast in ‘Practical Magic 2’?
Nicole and Sandra are reprising their roles as the Owens sisters. Oscar winner Dianne Wiest and Oscar nominee Stockard Channing will play Aunt Jet and Aunt Franny once again.
And there are a bunch of newcomers too – Joey King and Maisie Williams play Sally Owens’ daughters Kylie and Antonio, with Xolo Maridueña playing Kylie’s love interest.

What is the plot of ‘Practical Magic 2’?
You might remember the original film follows the story of the Owens sisters who are from a long line of witches. They’ve avoided doing any witchcraft themselves due to a curse placed on their bloodline – one that causes any man that an Owens woman falls in love with to die.
In the sequel, we learn that the curse is in fact generational.
“Remember when mum would tell us stories where everyone who fell in love died?” Kylie says to Antonia in the trailer. “You don’t believe we’re cursed?”
But when Kylie falls in love with someone who is hit by a car, reality dawns on the girls and together, the Owens women embark on a journey to “fix the curse”.
When will ‘Practical Magic 2’ be released?
The magical film is coming September 11, 2026.
