The official trailer for Prime Video’s Legally Blonde prequel, Elle, has dropped, and it’s as glorious and as pink as you can imagine!
The series follows the story of Elle Woods, played by Lexi Minetree, in 1995, before her Harvard days. She’s just moved to Seattle from Los Angeles where she’s figuring out how to be her sparkly self… but also, fit in and not stand out too much. Here’s everything we know so far:

What is ‘Elle’ about?
According to Prime Video, we’ll meet Elle in the “tumultuous waters of high school where she encounters tricky friendships, forbidden romance, and questionable fashion choices.”
The streamer adds, “Through it all, Elle uses her family as a touchstone, and forms an even tighter bond to her mother, proving that they can get through anything life throws their way as long as they have each other. With each challenge she faces, Elle grows closer to the Elle Woods we know and love today.”
Who else is cast in ‘Elle’?
In addition to Lexi in the title role, the cast includes June Diane Raphael as Elle’s mother Eva, Tom Everett Scott as her father Wyatt, as well as Jacob Maskovitz, Gabrielle Policano, Chandler Kinney, Zac Looker and Amy Pietz. The late James Van Der Beek also has a recurring role.
When will ‘Elle’ be released?
Season one is out on July 1 with all eight episodes being released in one go. Binge-fest incoming!
