Did you hear about Ariana Grande’s amazing new foundation? It’s called Brighter Days Ahead and Ari has set it up to benefit groups supporting LGBTQ+ rights, mental health, reproductive rights and emergency relief.
Among the grantees of the emergency fund is Save The Children UK, a nonprofit providing emergency care, food and water to kids in need. The charity has shared a message thanking the singer for her generous grant (the amount has not been disclosed) and explaining how the funds will be used:
“The money will go directly to children and families in Gaza, to help them through the unimaginably difficult situation they’ve been put in. With funds like this, we’ve already reached 183,459 children with cash assistance, 83,000 children with health and nutrition support and 11, 357 children with education programs.”
In a statement announcing her foundation, Ari said, “Our mission is to support, protect and provide resources for our vulnerable friends in need. Through four different funds, we will be supporting handfuls of incredible organisations that provide the safe space and care that is desperately needed by so many right now.”
Save The Children isn’t the only organisation receiving a grant through Ari’s emergency fund. Others include the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital which Ari has been visiting since 2017 after a bombing at her Manchester Arena concert, as well as New York Cares and the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund.
