Off Campus star Mika Abdalla has split from fiancé Jake Short after five years together.

The 26-year-old actress’ representative confirmed the sad news in a statement to Us Weekly.
They said: “Due to recent interest in Mika’s personal life it would feel remiss to not address that (she) and Jake are no longer together.
“They continue to support each other and remain on friendly terms, and kindly ask for privacy and respect.”
Mika last posted about her other half on her Instagram page on 20th November last year.
While she and Jake had never confirmed their engagement, his manager Brian Medavoy broke the news on Instagram in May 2025, when he wrote: “An awesome day yesterday celebrating the next chapter for my longtime client, Jake Short and his fiancée Mika Abdalla.
“From set to real life – watching your journey has been a joy. Here’s to forever.”
Mika and Jake first met on the set of teen comedy Sex Appeal back in 2021, and started dating after portraying couple Avery and Larson on screen.
Speaking about how the romance started on The American High podcast in 2024, Mika said: “’I came over just to say hi, and we ended up talking, not about the script, just talking and getting to know each other for hours.
“I was like, wait, this guy is actually really cool and sweet and great.”
Mika has become something of a household name thanks to the huge, worldwide success of Off Campus.
While the first season focuses on the romance between Ella Bright’s Hannah and Belmont Cameli’s Garrett, the second will be about Mika’s character Allie’s relationship with Dean Di Laurentis, played by Stephen Kalyn.
Speaking about the upcoming episodes to Us Weekly, Mika previously said: “Even though we do tease Dean and Allie a lot earlier than people expect, you are still left wanting a lot more.
“And that’s something I’m really excited about. You just want to see more.”
Off Campus is based on the books by Elle Kennedy and Mika said she was excited to get stuck in to the character even further in the second season.
She explained: “I’m just really looking forward to digging deeper into who Allie and Dean are. They both kind of have these fronts, these personas that are hard to kind of crack through. They are kind of stereotypes of themselves, if that makes sense.
“But in the books, there’s so much beneath the surface of Dean and there’s so much beneath the surface of Allie.”
