As “The Way Home” nears the end, Hallmark will release a playlist featuring 30+ songs, including original music, covers and scores used throughout the four seasons. The news was announced on Sunday at the ATX TV Festival by stars Chyler Leigh, Evan Williams and Sadie Laflamme-Snow.
On June 12, the playlist will be released on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon and anywhere music is streamed, with 30 tracks. Two songs from the final two episodes (which air June 14 and June 21) will be added at a later date.
“The music of ‘The Way Home’ is an intrinsic part of the series and has been expertly used to set the time and place of each era,” says Michelle Vicary, head of programming, Hallmark Media. “We are so proud of this incredible show and grateful to our loyal fans, so deciding to release these tracks they’ve fallen in love with was an easy one to make.”
The playlist will include numerous songs performed by Laflamme-Snow, including “By the Light of the Moon” and “Where This Water Meets the Sea,” as well as multiple versions of “Everything I Wanted.” Covers include “You Learn” performed by Leigh, “Time After Time” performed by Williams, and “Summer Breeze” performed by Jordan Doww and Laflamme-Snow. All scores included are written by the show’s composer Keith Power.

“We are beyond delighted to be able to do this for ‘The Way Home’ fans, who have been asking for the release of our incredible original songs and score since Season 1,” co-showrunners and executive producers Heather Conkie and Alexandra Clarke say in a statement. “Music has always been such an important element of our show – not only because it’s a huge passion for our Landry family across several generations, but because it’s such a poignant and perfect way to mark the new eras and time periods that our characters have gotten to explore.”
They also wanted to honor those responsible for the music — Power and music supervisors Jennifer Pyken and Ann Kline.
Kline notes that part of the creative joy of the series was building the music that spans decades: “From the 1800s to the present day, every song was selected to honor the show’s core themes of family, home, friendship and love, while maintaining a cohesive emotional identity across every era.”
“Our heavy lifting in the time-traveling storyline was made possible thanks to original songs written by Maria Taylor, Keith Power and Alan Doyle,” adds Pyken. “They crafted beautiful songs that fit seamlessly into the narrative, and watching our cast bring these songs to life across different time periods truly brought the heart of the project to life.”
“The Way Home” airs on Hallmark on Sundays at 9 p.m. ET.
