I don’t want to be partnered with Gleb Savchenko

Maura Higgins doesn’t want to be partnered with Gleb Savchenko on Dancing With the Stars.

Maura Higgins is competing on the TV show

The 35-year-old beauty signed up for Dancing With the Stars, the long-running TV show, earlier this year, but Maura would oppose being partnered with Gleb because she’s a good friend of Brooks Nader, his ex-partner.

Speaking to E! News, Maura explained: “I’d be happy with anyone except Gleb. That’s only because I’m loyal and I’m friends with Brooks.”

The reality star subsequently explained what she doesn’t like about Gleb.

Maura – who first found fame on Love Island in the UK – said: “I don’t really like the way he speaks about women.

“I don’t really want to spend all my time with someone like that. I’m like, no thank you.”

Maura also insisted she’s not looking for love on Dancing With the Stars.

The TV star said: “You’re not getting a showmance from me at all. It’s not happening.

“I’m single, I’m celibate and I’m bloody happy. I’m so happy. I just don’t want it.”

Meanwhile, Brooks previously admitted that she found it tough to relive the “demise” of her relationship with Gleb.

The 29-year-old model’s break-up from Gleb featured on her reality TV show, Love Thy Nader, and Brooks admitted that she struggled to relive the acrimonious split.

She told People: “It was really, really difficult to watch back the relationship and the demise of it unfold.

“I think it was eye-opening, because I noticed certain things that I might not have noticed throughout the relationship that the girls say were present the entire time. I think it was a great form of self-reflection.”

Brooks feels she lost her authentic self in the midst of their relationship.

The model was “acting like a different person” while she was dating the professional dancer.

Reflecting on their romance, she said: “I was acting like a different person when I was in that relationship, which is a bad sign – you should be totally, fully yourself when you’re in a good relationship.

“But I think when everything went down and seeing me emotional and seeing me go through that and have to relive that made me realise that I need to trust my next partner because I don’t want to live that again.”
